How we collect, use, and protect your data.

SCOPE

Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Liion Venom LLC d/b/a Dental Fitness Intelligence ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information through the BeverageIQ™ mobile app and the dentalfitnessintelligence.com website. Contact: support@dentalfitnessintelligence.com.

1 · ACCOUNT INFO

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your email address, display name, and a unique provider ID. We do not receive your Apple or Google password, authentication is performed by the platform provider, not by us.

2 · BEVERAGE DATA

Beverage Scanning Data

Manual entry stays on your device. When you type in a beverage's pH, sugar and mineral values yourself, the app computes your Dental Fitness Score on the device. Those values are stored locally (AsyncStorage) and are not transmitted to our servers unless you opt in to anonymous research sharing.

Scanning transmits. When you scan a barcode or a nutrition label, the barcode number or the label image is sent to our servers so the product can be identified, and may also be sent to the public food databases named in §12. Your resulting score and your journal remain on your device.

3 · JOURNAL

Journal Entries

Beverage logs you create are stored locally on your device only. They are not transmitted to our servers unless you choose to participate in anonymous research sharing.

4 · APPOINTMENTS

Appointment Records

Any appointment or treatment records you enter in the app are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.

5 · SUBSCRIPTION

Subscription & Payment Data

Subscription purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status; we never receive your payment-card details. Subscription status is stored in our database to grant you access to paid features.

6 · KIDS ZONE

Kids Zone, COPPA Compliance

The Kids Zone (Sabertooth's Den) is designed for parents and guardians to use with their children. All Kids Zone content is stored locally on the device, and no personal data is transmitted from the Kids Zone itself.

Two things a parent should know, because they apply to the app as a whole rather than to the Kids Zone alone. First, the crash reporting described in §8 runs everywhere in the app, including while a child is using it; it reports technical failures, never content. Second, scanning a beverage transmits as described in §2 and §12A wherever it is done in the app.

An account and a subscription must be created and held by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, contact us immediately at support@dentalfitnessintelligence.com and we will delete it.

7 · ANONYMOUS RESEARCH

Anonymous Research (Opt-in)

With your optional consent, anonymized DFS data, beverage type and DFS score, with all personally identifying fields removed, may be aggregated for educational and research purposes. You may withdraw consent at any time via the app's Settings.

8 · ANALYTICS

Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) to receive automatic crash reports and performance diagnostics from the app. When the app crashes or encounters an error, Sentry receives technical information about that failure: the error itself, a stack trace, the device model, the operating system version, and the app version. Sentry processes this on our behalf under its own privacy policy, at sentry.io/privacy. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not sell this data.

Separately, the app may send us anonymous counts of scan failures — how many lookups failed, and whether the device is iOS or Android. This carries no identifier of any kind: no account ID, no device ID, no advertising ID, and no record of which beverage you scanned. It is sampled rather than sent every time, and you may switch it off in Settings.

The app contains no advertising and uses no advertising identifier.

9 · USE

How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect only to: authenticate your account and maintain your subscription; provide access to paid features; send subscription-related communications; improve app performance; and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

10 · DELETION

Data Retention & Deletion

Account information and subscription records are retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account & All Data. Deletion permanently removes your account, authentication record, and subscription history from our servers; local device data is removed when you uninstall the app. Anonymized research data submitted under prior consent may be retained because it cannot be reversed back to you.

11 · YOUR RIGHTS

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and U.S. states with applicable privacy legislation have the right to access, correct, delete, port, and object to processing of their personal information. To exercise these rights, contact support@dentalfitnessintelligence.com.

12 · THIRD PARTIES

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to make the app work. Each receives only what its specific function requires.

Apple App Store and Google Play Billing process subscription purchases; we receive confirmation of your subscription status only, never your payment-card details. Sentry receives crash reports and diagnostics, as described in §8. Open Food Facts and the USDA FoodData Central database receive the barcode number or search term when you look up a beverage, so that nutrition information can be retrieved; no account information is sent with those lookups. Anthropic reads beverage labels and scanned documents on our behalf, as described in §12A. ElevenLabs generates the spoken narration when you ask the app to read a report aloud, and receives the text to be spoken.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics networks. Beyond the services named above, we do not share your personal information with other third parties except as required by law.

12A · AI PROCESSING

What Is Sent to Our AI Processor

Beverage and label scanning. When you scan a beverage barcode or a nutrition label, the barcode number or the label image is sent to our servers and on to Anthropic to be read. What comes back is the nutrition and chemistry data used to compute your Dental Fitness Score.

Document scanning. The image is converted to text on your device and then discarded. Only the extracted text leaves your phone — the photograph itself is never transmitted.

Report card scanning (iPhone and iPad only). On iOS, scanning a dental report card transmits the photograph itself to our servers and on to Anthropic to be read. The image is processed in memory to extract the readings; it is never written to a log and never stored in our database. This feature is switched off on Android while we complete a review of how these images are handled.

If a document or report card you scan contains a name, a date of birth, or any other identifying detail, that detail is contained in what is sent. Scan only documents you are comfortable sending.

13 · SECURITY

Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, including encrypted databases. All transmission between the app and our servers, and between our servers and every third party named in §12, uses HTTPS encryption in transit. No method of transmission over the internet, however, is 100 % secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14 · CHANGES

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
